About this Event

Join us for a very special guest lecture to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the JMABC.

We are honoured to welcome as our speaker Dr. Elizabeth Shaffer, Executive Director of the Residential School History & Dialogue Centre at the University of British Columbia and Assistant Professor at the UBC School of Information.

In her talk, Dr. Shaffer will interrogate how museums can serve as spaces of dialogue and disruption, particularly in the context of anti-racism and human rights.

This event is the kick-off of a year of events celebrating 50 years of the JMABC. Stay tuned for news of the many programs we have planned.
