Guided Dog Walks Through Royal Beach - Wednesday Sept 23rd

NEW FOR WEDNESDAY SEPT 16th

As summer comes to a close, this will be the final community dog walk offered down at Royal Beach. To try and accommodate everyone who has reached out, we will tentatively be offering BOTH walks on Sept 23rd at 6:30pm. When you go to the tickets page, you will have a choice of:

• THE BLUFFS walk: Takes you to the cliffs on the south of the property (closer to Metchosin) and features the spectacular views from the future home of the Bluffs Amphitheatre
• THE HEADLANDS walk: Takes you up to the north of the property (closer to Perimeter park) and talks about the future neighbourhood in this area!
• Both walks will talk about THE LANDING (the heart of Royal Beach!) and will provide you an opportunity to ask questions about the property as a whole.

PLEASE NOTE: If we get at least 5 sign ups for each walk, we will run both walk simultaneously with different guides! If a walk has less than 5 sign ups, it will not run and we will contact you via email with options!

There's more to Royal Beach than just the stunning waterfront. Come take a walk with us as we explore different areas of the property and what lies ahead for Royal Beach Seaside Village. We'll have some fun info about the plans for our expansive outdoor space and look forward to hearing your questions and thoughts!

Erin from Doggy Style Dog Walking will be joining us as the "Pack Leader" to give us her best walking tips and ensure an enjoyable walk for all!

(Humans without a fur friend are most welcome as well!)

TIME:

Wednesday at 6:30 PM

We are planning for the walk to take about 45 mins to an hour, but times may vary based upon the pace of the pack!

LOCATION:

Located at Royal Beach. (3483 Metchosin Rd, Victoria, BC V9C 1Z1) Please come through the gates to the property located at Metchosin Road and Latoria Blvd. We will meet on the grass area near the playground!

INFO:

• To make sure we don't overwhelm our four legged friends, we ask that each human only bring one dog! (You can sign up a friend or partner if you have another pup!)
• Friendly pups who don't mind sharing their space with other fur friends are the best fit for this activity!
• Please no flexi-leashes or extendable leashes - they trip up our pack!
• Humans should plan to wear closed toe shoes that are suitable for some off-road terrain.
• Our expansive outdoor space does include some pretty wicked hills, please prepare for a bit of a climb!

HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN

• Each walk is limited to 30 humans and 30 dogs.
• Walks will take place outdoors for best air flow and will include lots of space for physical distancing.
• Hand sanitizer will be provided and we encourage all walkers to use it before and after the walk.
• Walkers are reminded to keep at least 2 meters from anyone outside of their party.
• Contact information will be collected in accordance with the Provincial Health Orders in regards to COVID contact tracing.
• We ask that if you are experiencing symptoms, have been around someone with COVID or have been asked to self-isolate that you stay home.
