Description

Guru Nanak was the founder of Sikhism. With his arrival on this planet, he challenged the status quo and the lens through which the world and faith was viewed. His revolutionary thought changed the world, enlightening others around him, and created the foundations for the Sikh religion.

This event will explore the philosophy of Guru Nanak, exploring his foundational teachings. You can participate in workshops exploring Asa Ki Var, a Bani revealed by Guru Nanak. Or you can hear an academic perspective of Guru Nanak's spiritual sovereignty and socio-political impacts. The sessions will empower you to understand Guru Nanak’s teachings and turn this knowledge into action, at both a personal and community level.

Participants will learn the history and context Asa Ki Var was revealed within and gain skills on how they can read and interpret Guru Nanak’s teachings.
