Event description

Monarch Teacher Network is excited to announce that, thanks to generous funding from TD Friends of the Environment Foundation, we have 50 Monarch Habitat kits to give away this summer. Kits will contain 16 native plants, including 10 milkweed plants, together with a guide to creating and maintaining your new monarch habitat. You will be able to log your new habitat with an online mapping tool, and add all your observations as the habitat grows!

In line with funding requirements, priority will be given to applicants from the Toronto area, particularly participants at our Downsview Park workshop on August 2nd. Participants of the Caledon workshop on August 9-10 are also encouraged to apply.

Priority will also be given to applications showing involvement with community or school groups. All applicants will need to show that a suitable planting site has been designated and approved.

Kits will be distributed at the following events:

  • Downsview Park Discovery Centre, August 2nd

  • Albion Hills Field Centre, August 10th

  • The Butterfly Festival at Tommy Thompson Park, August 18th

Click "register" to apply. We will notify you once your application has been approved.
