Sales Have Ended
We recognize that the sign permitting process in HRM has been a challenge. As a result of a number of meetings with HRM’s officials to discuss this issue, SAC Director of Government Relations and the APC President Tanya Mailhot have organized an information session with HRM officials. This could be a very positive step for us to improve the sign permit processes in HRM. We will have decision makers from all the departments involved in the permitting process present at the meeting: Building; Development and Engineering, Traffic Authority; Contractors Desk. They all hold a piece to our permit process puzzle that we are trying to solve.
Here is the information session agenda:
2) Background: Sign Association of Canada. Who are we? What is our mandate?
3) Background: HRM. What is HRM’s role in sign permitting? (Kevin Warner)

As per agenda items 6 and 7, we will discuss upcoming changes in HRM regulation and will also have a forum to propose our own recommendations. We want to have a constructive discussion with them and would like to bring forward recommendations on how we can improve the process.
Please note, this session has been exclusively organized for SAC-ACE members and is open for members only.
