She worked for Connaught Labs (now Sanofi-Pasteur) until 1995 and then she started her own consulting business. She did consulting for biotech companies in Canada and their partners in Latin America, and for the World Health Organization.

From 2004 to 2010 Liliana worked for WHO at the Headquarters in Geneva, where she was responsible for the creation of cooperation and strengthening platforms for regulatory authorities in developing countries. She returned to Canada in October 2010 and continued working as a consultant for WHO, as well as Health Canada, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the International Vaccine Institute and other international organizations involved in global health.

Now Liliana is semiretired, she has significantly reduced her traveling to a few trips per year, so she has time to volunteer and decided to become a Rotarian.
