Hand Felted Soap Workshop with Sarah Cameron

Tuesday, December 4th 6:30pm-8:30pm

Join fibre artist Sarah Cameron at the Tett Centre, and learn the art of wet felting by creating your own hand felted soaps. Just in time for the holidays, hand felted soaps make a unique and personal gift and are fun to make! They are the "cleanest messy thing you can do!"

All supplies are included. Each student will take 2 finished wet felted soaps home, and gain new skills and an understanding of the wet felting process. Spots are limited. Register today!

Artist Biography:

Sarah Cameron was born in Leicester, the knitwear and hosiery hub of the United Kingdom. With a long family history in the textiles industry, she studied at both Loughborough College and Falmouth College of Arts receiving a Bachelor of Arts in photograph.

After her immigration to Canada, Sarah began to explore her arts education and textiles heritage. Sarah learned to weave on a traditional hand loom, then took up the art of spinning yarn, and with a love of all things fiber, she continued into felting and small loom weaving. Sarah likes to share her passion for the handmade and fiber with others, who are interested or like-minded.
