Join our local pottery artisan Shannon Parnall as she teaches how to create several functional pieces (Mug, Plate, Bowl, & Vase). Register for the complete series or come out for just one! This handbuilding series is set up to work well with her series of decorating workshops giving you the opportunity to continue working on your items.

All four classes for $90, individual classes $25. Clay is additional. Clay must be purchased from the Elkford Art Studio ($25/half box). You may purchase your clay online at time of registering or in studio. ALL STUDENTS MUST WEAR SAFE SHOES WITH TOES ENCLOSED, please bring a rag or towel, and an apron is recommended. Ages 17+, Minimum 4, Maximum 10 participants.

Schedule:

Mug: Sunday, February 17th 10am – 12pm Join us and learn how easy it is to create a beautiful mug from a slab of clay. This class focuses on key handbuilding techniques including slab construction, cylinders, seams, texture and handles. Beginners will also learn Studio Etiquette. Instructor provides individual guidance.

Plate: Saturday, February 23rd, 10am – 12pm Join us and learn how easy it is to create a beautiful plate from a slab of clay. This class focuses on key handbuilding techniques including slab construction, texture and templates. Beginners will also learn Studio Etiquette. Instructor provides individual guidance.

Bowl: Friday, March 8th, 1:30pm - 3:30pm Join us and learn how easy it is to create a beautiful bowl from a slab of clay. This class focuses on key handbuilding techniques including slab construction and templates. Beginners will also learn Studio Etiquette. Instructor provides individual guidance.

Vase: Saturday, March 9th, 10am – 12pm Join us and learn how easy it is to create a beautiful vase from a slab of clay. This class focuses on key handbuilding techniques including slab construction, cylinders, seams and templates. Beginners will also learn Studio Etiquette. Instructor provides individual guidance.

**Please Note: If you need to pay by cash/cheque, payment must be made prior to event deadline. Email elkfordartscouncil@gmail.com to make arrangements. ALL REGISTRATIONS MUST STILL BE COMPLETED ONLINE. DURING CHECKOUT PROCESS, SELECT CHECK AS PAYMENT METHOD.

**EAC Cancellation Policy: If a participant has paid for a program and cancels prior to the registration deadline they will receive the full amount of the registration fee, less a 25% administration fee. After the registration deadline has passed then no refund is available however reserved spot is transferrable to another person. If the event is cancelled due to not meeting minimum numbers, full refunds will be granted**
