Event description

Description

The 2018 Toronto Rotaract Host Organizing Committee is partnering with the Robin Hood Army to help distribute food to those in need over the Sunday lunch hour. This event has been structured to include three time-slots so that you may join us regardless of which Rotary International Convention Opening Plenary session you have been assigned to.

You have the choice of volunteering in three different shifts:

THIS SLOT IS FULL - Shift #1: 11:30AM to 2:00PM (Meeting and serving food at The Metropolitan United Church (MET))

THIS SLOT IS FULL - Shift #2: 1:30PM to 3:00PM (Meeting at MET and then taking TTC to Good Shepherd (GS))

Shift #3: 2:00PM to 4:00PM (Meeting at MET and then taking TTC to GS)

If you want more information on opportunities to assist with food pick-up earlier in the day, please let us know.

This afternoon hands-on service opportunity invites volunteers* to not only distribute food but also to engage with the recipients on a personal, conversational level.

While this event is free, the shelters, homeless people we are serving, and Robin Hood Army will be relying on those who sign-up to be in attendance during their respective time-slot. Please read our terms and conditions for more information. If you have any questions or concerns, please e-mail us at info@rotaract18.org.

*Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to participate
