Description

The foundation of our body deserves a little attention!

Feet provide the body with support and contact to the physical world below us. Our weight fall on to these pads, so any tension following the chain of our limbs, hips, torso, shoulders, neck and head will show up in our feet! How you strike the ground, the posture of the feet as they are in rest and action, how you tense and grip your feet in moments of stress, this all shows up as symptoms and patterns of tension.

Yoga is a practice meant to connect us to our being, whether it's the fibre of our physical form or mental, there is no divide when the nervous system is involved! What are your feet saying to you? Do you know how to address their malformations, imbalances, contortions, tightness and limitations?

Enjoy a special bit of attention on the anatomy used for integrating balance, gait and brain development! Neuro-sensory-motor
points are explored with the effects of yoga, introducing new movement patterns and strategies for relieving discomfort, poor balance and body neglect!

For those suffering from acute or chronic foot pain, cramps, or limited range of motion in the feet, ankles, or legs, enjoy a 90 min. workshop designed to help you understand your body, set yourself free from pain and practice fundamentals for relieving issues in the FEET!

What to expect?

90 minutes of an intimate look at foot flexbility and movement patterns. You will learn how to identify contributing issues in your feet and how to use yoga to unlock tension and reduce pain. You will learn about patterns of pain, avoidable mistakes that contribute to foot pain, and how to get the most out of your mobility inorder to address overcompensation and overcome weakness. You will learn how to turn around poor balance and coordination that can be taken in to any yoga class!

I have an injury. Can I attend?

The practice is completely modifiable to your needs and how you need to practice for your body. Let us know ahead of time about your injury so we may prepare variations espcially for you.

Where is the workshop?

Reset Wellness, 10324 - 82 ave and is facilitated by our very own yoga instructor, April Dawn Kosinski.

What to bring?

Bring a yoga mat and water bottle, and wear comfortable active wear.

48 hour workshop cancellation policy. If you change your mind or can no longer attend, be sure to cancel 48 hours in advance to receive your full refund. Less than 48 hour notice is 100% loss of the workshop investment. Have a friend sub in for you in that case!
