We have all have a mental health so let’s learn about what that is. The goals for this presentation is for youth to understanding what mental health is, understand the stigma associated to mental health and to learn about what to do if one notices changes to their mental health and where to go to ask for help.

Note: YNRA presentations are about mental health and our facilitators are ASIST (applied suicide intervention skills training) trained and should a youth disclose any concerns regarding their mental health, our facilitators will follow a protocol to ensure safety to your student. We respect the policies in schools and want to ensure that we are all working in collaboration to support the student in need.

3. Gender & Sexuality 101 (presented by Canadian Centre for Gender & Sexual Diversity; CCDGS); Tuesday, November 26, 2019

A staple for anyone unfamiliar with 2SLGBTQ+ topics and one of CCDGS's most popular workshops. This workshop hopes to give a solid foundation regarding the 2SLGBTQ+ communities and the diverse identities within it. The goal is to expose people to some of the infinite variations of identities and expressions as well as normalize experiences of Queer folks in your community. This presentation works on building acceptance and celebration through having a better understanding of the globally diverse world that we live in.
