COURSE SUMMARY

Harmonized Threat, Vulnerability and Risk Assessment (HTVRAs), aligned with an organization’s strategic planning and reporting framework, uses an all-hazards approach.

October 19th to 21st course will be held in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Location TBD.

October 5th to 7th course will be held in Ottawa, Ontario at the Lord Elgin Hotel, 100 Elgin Street

The course provides a comprehensive project plan to conduct a Harmonized Threat, Vulnerability and Risk Assessment (HTVRA) that aligns with an organization's strategic planning and reporting framework using an all-hazards approach.Course participants will acquire an in-depth understanding of both qualitative and quantitative approaches to risk calculation through the HTVRA methodology.

This course covers, in detail, all phases of the process:

  • Preparation;
  • Asset Identification and Valuation;
  • Intelligence Collection;
  • Physical and cyber assets;
  • Cross-domain interdependencies
  • Risk Calculations, and
  • Recommendations to Senior Executives.

At the end of this training you will:

  • Understand key elements and importance of HTVRA methodology, and
  • Use open source analysis and intelligence, security protocols, and business continuity and emergency plans.

Who should attend:

Security professionals, from Government and the Industry, responsible for conducting or managing Threat Vulnerability Risk Assessments, as well as with an interest in advancing their professional careers.

Senior Managers responsible for implementing Threat Risk Assessments within their organization.

Generalists interested in understanding the HTVRA process and its importance to an organization’s security and resilience.
