Nearly two years into the racial justice movement that was propelled in 2020, workplaces are continuing to grapple with how to create workplaces that are rooted in racial equity and to create spaces where professionals of color can heal from racialized trauma.
In honor of Black History Month, we’re delighted to announce that bci’s President Ritu Bhasin will be joined by special guest Minda Harts, an award-winning speaker and expert on building racially inclusive workplaces. Minda is the author of the new book Right Within: How to Heal from Racial Trauma in the Workplace and the best-selling book The Memo, as well as the founder and CEO of The Memo LLC.
In this webinar, Ritu will lead an in-depth, no-holds-barred Q&A discussion with Minda where they’ll talk about:
- What happens in workplaces around racial micro-inequities and how to address this difficult predicament
- The importance of psychological safety when addressing racialized inequities in the workplace
- How to interrupt harmful patterns of “well intentions” as an ally
- How to heal from experiences with racial micro-inequities and trauma
- Key takeaways and frameworks from Minda’s new book
Everyone is welcome – spread the word and encourage professionals of color and allies to join us! If you have questions for Minda, please send them to us through the registration form on Zoom or by emailing info@bhasinconsulting.com.
