About this Event

20 HOUR YOGA ALLIANCE CERTIFIED CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAM

Trauma is a pervasive fact of modern life: It does not however, have to be a life sentence. How you handle trauma greatly influences the quality of your life. This module is required for teaching trauma sensitive populations but even if that’s not your intention, it will enhance your practice and your teaching regardless of who is on their mat in front of you.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU

About the Facilitator:

Tania Lutz is an E-RYT registered yoga teacher trained in Power Vinyasa, Restorative, Yin and Trauma Sensitive yoga. She currently lives in Mississauga and is the co-owner of Power Yoga Canada City Centre. Tania continues to study cutting edge trauma treatments under Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, through the Trauma Center in Boston, MA. Tania facilitates a 20-hour trauma sensitive teacher training to those interested in working with high risk populations, as well as educating First Responder communities in the tools of breath, meditation and yoga for those dealing with the effects of stress related conditions, including PTSI. She volunteers on-site classes to First Responders within their own communities.
