Health Hack V.I is the first of a series of hackathons to take place at Nuwrk in Montreal’s central Plateau. The event will see teams of up to four participants working through the weekend to design a Minimum Viable Product from a set of preordained criteria. The app will be geared toward health optimisation, and will focus on innovative ways to collect user data using Google Fit APIs. Teams will be asked to develop fast and simple ways of inputting nutrition schedules while adapting gamification strategies to increase user buy in. Health Hack V.I will launch on Thursday, October 13th and will run through to Sunday, October 16th.
Health Hack V.I will launch on Thursday, September 15th with a pre event get together at Nuwrk, 3790 Blvd. St. Laurent. The official start is set for 7:00pm on Friday, September 16th, and will run until 7:00pm on Sunday, September 18th, at which point teams will be asked to hand in their products. Health Hack V.I will welcome both individuals and predetermined teams, but will close registration at 8 teams or 32 participants. Entries will be adjudicated by a select panel of industry leaders and developers and the winning entry will receive a prize - to be announced at a later date.
