Are you curious about health research?

Join us for 'Health Research 101' with the BC SUPPORT Unit Vancouver Island Centre!

The goal of this session is to introduce participants to the broad landscape of health research in Canada. Together we will cover a wide range of topics, including:

  • Defining the purpose of health research

  • Understanding the role of funding agencies

  • Who typically conducts research studies

  • The traditional role of patients as research ‘subjects’

  • Stages of a research study

  • How to develop a good research question

  • Ethical considerations in health research

  • The peer review process

  • How to share study findings
