Event description

Description

This 4-hour, face-to-face training provides Early Care and Education Professionals information and resources to those serving children ages two through five. Registered Dietitians from Tri-County Health Department will lead this fun and interactive training, discussing physical activity and nutrition while incorporating Colorado’s licensing and quality rating improvement system information. Participants will observe and discuss physical activity and healthy mealtime concepts as well as reflect on incorporating new ideas into the childcare setting. Upon completion of this course participants will be able to define best practices related to active play and mealtimes as well as how these practices relate to childhood development. A certificate for four (4) continuing education hours will be given; 3 for the Health, Safety, and Nutrition category and 1 for Social Emotional Development . You will receive resources to bring back to your setting to support Healthy Eating and Active Living in your Early Care and Education location. The online module on PDIS or COTRAIN “Let’s Get Moving! Physical Activity in Early Care and Learning”, is an optional pre-course learning activity. Light morning snacks, beverages and lunch will be provided. There is no cost for this training.

Registration is required and space is limited. Reserve your spot today!
