This fourth edition of our Healthy, Thriving, and Inclusive Cities series of workshops will explore sustainable adaptive reuse of buildings; how can we ensure our buildings are built to thrive so that they are affordable and sustainable? We will break out into separate sessions to focus specifically on:

• Breakout 1: Cooperation models for building renovations. How are cities involving citizens, owners, tenants, businesses, and the local communities to co-create renovation projects that benefit everyone?
• Breakout 2: Sustainable adaptive re-use of buildings: how can we adapt our buildings to changes and given them a new life? (making heritage buildings more energy efficient, repurposing buildings for cultural use, make buildings a hub for ecosystem services and biodiversity)

Building on the thoughts discussed during the Eurocities WG chairs co-creation meeting of June 2020, members will explore identified challenges and opportunities related to the Eurocities strategic framework and reflect on the implications of the COVID - 19 pandemic.
