Event Details

Have you ever wanted to help an endangered species in your community?

This is your chance.

Be a Wildlifer and take action with Burrowing Owl Conservation Society of BC and WWF-Canada to help bring back burrowing owls to the B.C. southern grasslands.

During the 1990s, populations of this charismatic grassland bird dropped by approximately 90 per cent, primarily from land conversion and a lack of suitable burrowing sites. You’re needed to replace old burrows with a new burrow system and remove invasive plants from burrow entrances, supporting the survival of endangered burrowing owls in the Nicola Valley.

In addition to helping a species at risk, you’ll be entered in a draw for a grand prize of a $150 gift certificate for the Burrowing Owl Estate Winery or one of six WWF-Canada adoption kits. Your name will be entered for every event you attend and friend you recruit.

Lunch will be provided.

Please note that on the day of the event, you will be asked to sign this waiver. Please review in advance.
