Description

Goonieland Permaculture and 8th Fire Innovations presents "An Intro to Building with Hempcrete!"

"Hempcrete" aka "hemp-lime" is a natural building material sourced from the waste stream of the industrial hemp plant. Hempcrete is non-toxic, anti-fungal and anti-microbial. It is fire, pest and earthquake resistant, has excellent acoustic properties, good structural qualities, and provides a safe, comfortable and grounded environment!

Instruction will be facilitated by two industry leaders with over twenty years of combined experience in providing hempcrete, off-grid, and sustainable living solutions. Join us in the majestic Blaeberry, west of Golden BC, for this extensive introduction into the world of Hempcrete construction. Goonieland Permaculture Farm is the site of Canada’s First Hempcrete Earthship & Gichii Goomii Micro Hemp Farm!

You'll enjoy mountain hospitality in the heart of beautiful British Columbia. You'll receive a balance of practical and classroom instruction from Hempcrete industry pioneers, course material, various mix formulas for different applications, and the confidence/ support to start on your own Hempcrete dream!
