Event Details

The world's most fascinating cities understand that maintaining urban heritage adds long-term value -- Toronto must not lose sight of this. Building on new Official Plan heritage policies, more than 60 designations, 5 Heritage Conservation Districts and several heritage-related planning studies enacted in recent years, a feasability study is underway for a city-wide heritage inventory. It is an exciting time for heritage in Toronto.

Join Heritage Toronto to hear from experts and influencers about how and why heritage is becoming a priority for Toronto, and to ask you questions about how we can work together to protect and conserve our heritage for the future.

Panelists (listed alphabetically):

  • Sean Fraser, Director of Programs and Operations, Ontario Heritage Trust
  • Alissa Golden, Heritage Project Specialist, City of Hamilton
  • Mary MacDonald, Senior Manager, Heritage Preservation Services, Toronto City Planning
  • Michael McLelland, Principal, ERA Architects
  • Eve Lewis, Woodcliffe Landmark Properties
  • Councillor David Shiner (Ward 24 - Willowdale)
