Event description

Description

The University of Toronto Student Society for Stem Cell Research is proud to host the first annual High School Case Competition. This competition invites high school students to form teams of 2 to 4 and to compete with their peers in developing and proposing an original idea to address a broad question.

This year, the competition will be centered on the topic "Aging: How can we address it or its effects?" This prompt welcomes proposals from a variety of disciplines, including biology, sociology, psychology, etc. In order to prepare students for the task of constructing an original idea using available information, we will be hosting training sessions at the University of Toronto and around the Greater Toronto Area. These sessions will guide students in the process of conducting online scientific research and discussing various topics relevant to the phenomenon of aging.

Registration deadline is Friday, 30 November 2017 at 11:59 PM. A deposit of $20 will be charged per team registration, which will be refunded upon the team's submission of a written proposal (deadline for the written proposal is 7 January 2018).
