Friday, September 30: "Meet and Greet" @ Perth Golf Course (141 Peter St, Perth, ON K7H 3E4)
5:00-6:00 pm
Summit participants to meet at golf course for drinks.
6:00-7:30 pm
Pub style meals can be made available at the golf course if we can guarantee a minimum of 20 people for the meals. Individuals are responsible for payment of their own meals. See food choices provided by golf course.

Welcome to HO Summit and Morning Speakers

RTA member Ron Hunt will welcome Tom Friesen from Hike Ontario and all members from hiking clubs, as well as scheduled speakers for morning session. (15 minutes)

Ontario Hiking Trails (45 minutes) This will be a historical perspective of Ontario hiking trails, starting with a presentation on John Muir by Ron Knight, followed by a presentation by Doug Knapp, founder of the RTA, giving a brief history of the RT. Ron Hunt to follow with a brief presentation on where the RTA is going.

Brief intro to panel session on Lyme disease, which will take place in the afternoon. (15 minutes)
11:45am–1:30 pm
Lunch in Perth
Individuals will be responsible for their own lunch. A list of options, with directions, will be provided to Summit participants and volunteers will be available to take them to the restaurants.
The following workshops will be held at the golf course, McMartin House (125 Gore St E, Perth, ON K7H 1J6) or outdoors at Last Duel Park (22 Craig St, Perth, ON K7H 1X8).

Dinner at Perth Golf Course
Perth’s Town Crier will fife in special guests such as Doug Knapp (one of founding fathers of RTA), MPP Randy Hillier, Mayor of Perth, RTA President, Tom Friesen. Jack Tannett will introduce and welcome Randy Hillier and the Mayor of Perth.
Tom Friesen will give out Hike Ontario Volunteer Awards
During dinner, there will be a continuous slide show of photos provided by each HO hiking club
Silent auction during dessert and coffee (local artisans, pictures, photography, hiking gear, gift certificates).
Raffle winner/s will be announced for gourmet basket or for hiking gear from Cooks or Balderson Cheese.

7:30am–8:45am
Breakfast Brag and Summit Wrap Up at Perth Golf Course
Board members from various clubs and all who wish to attend from various hiking clubs. Breakfast will be free.

Meet for Hikes
Meet at Perth Golf Course to sign up for various hikes. Hikes to be offered in each of the three RTA club sections. Hikes should end around noon. Offer 3 levels of hikes, including another Historic Hike in Perth by Susan Code.
