About this event
Himalayan Life, a North Vancouver-based charity that exists to enhance children's lives in the Himalayas, is proud to present Himalaya, a drive-in film festival.
Himalaya is a series of five films by four different filmmakers about the Himalayas, the land and its people. With stunning footage and breathtaking scenery, viewers will intimately experience how a small, local charity is helping transform lives and make a massive impact.
Throughout the films, viewers will experience extraordinary footage of Himalayan culture through the lens of migrant workers in Northern India and students in the Yangri Valley, as well as epic views of Himalayan Life supporters adventuring to Everest Base Camp, mountain biking in Pokhara and dirt biking over suspension bridges as part of Himalayan Life Adventures.
Filmmakers and adventures will be on-site to add insights and commentary to the films with personal accounts of their own experiences from Nepal and the ways in that the people and the land touched their hearts.
Please join us for this unique and exciting drive-in film festival, Himalaya at North Shore Alliance Church.
The first 10 cars to register will receive a swag bag!
Parking will open at 8:00pm and will be first-come, first-serve. The films will start at 8:30pm sharp.
