Many employers are confused about the process of hiring individuals with a work permit. This workshop will walk you through the process to hire a person with a work permit without permanent residency status. In a tight labor market, hiring newcomers will give you access to different skills and new perspectives; and stimulates creativity through diversity
This interactive workshop uses a case study to outline the process. It will provide employers with resources and take home materials.
By the end of the presentation, participants will be able to:

- Identify obstacles to hiring newcomers and ways to deal with them
