Having a Community Support worker can be extremely helpful in building a meaningful life for you or your son or daughter. Support Workers are critical to making good things happen. Hence the need to take the time find to the “right match” between your needs or your son/daughter’s needs the candidate and the job. The interview process can help you to screen for both suitable and/or unsuitable candidates. It can be designed to assist you to learn a lot about the candidate during the interview process before making a hiring commitment. In this hands-on workshop you will learn about Interviewing Dynamics, discover many tips and practice conversational interviewing techniques.

Judith has had extensive experience in helping people and their families hire and retain Personal Support Workers over the past 20 years. She has written a book aimed at families that will be published in 2019 entitled “Taking charge of Hiring Personal Support Workers”

Judith McGill is a powerful adult educator and social innovator. She has been writing and speaking about leisure identities and community building for over thirty years. Her provocative style and inspirational ideas have helped to transform the lives of many of the people that she has come into contact with. Judith is the Executive Director of Families for a Secure Future, an Independent Facilitation Organization.
