Event description

Description

Participate in taking the 100th anniversary portrait of a piece of BC history! The SS Canora was a passenger rail ferry that ran from Port Mann to Victoria. Its steam engine is the only remaining piece of this ship and is on full display at the Pioneer Museum. Learn about the fascinating story behind it and participate in a photo shoot of the engine complete with studio lighting and post processing lesson using Lightroom and Photoshop.

Carsten Arnold will teach you the basics of photographic composition, studio lighting, and camera skills in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. You do not need to bring you camera as there will be only one main camera shooting the final images. Feel free to video or take photos for your social media. A time lapse video will be taken of the event and the media is being encouraged to attend as well.

Meet up at the front gate of the Pioneer Museum located to the left of the 3 large Chilliwack Heritage Park barns. This is a rain or shine event. Flash photography will be used at this event.

Don't miss out on this rare opportunity! $5 from every ticket will be donated to the Atchelitz Thresherman's Association (aka - The Pioneer Museum)
