Event description

Description

Hint...the sparks will fly on this tour, literally! This 100-year-old power generating facility is also a National Historic Site of Canada where you can comb through archival photos, artifacts and explore the original mechanical and electrical components installed over a century ago. Because of its unique historic features, many television shows and movies have been filmed on-site. You'll be walking through a real life movie set.

A short 5 minute film on the history of the building will be shown before entering the main area. A $4 entry fee is also charged by the Powerhouse.

Join Carsten Arnold for a 2 hour walk back through time and learn basic photographic composition and camera skills. This photo walk is suitable for photographers wishing to improve their skills as a photographer with ANY camera.

Meet up inside the front entrace to the historic facility. Participants must be in reasonable shape to comfortably walk through this large building and to and from the parking lot. Good shoes and suitable clothing are a must.

This is a rain or shine event.

Once registered you will receive detailed information on where to meet and what to bring.
