Description

Reimagining historical spaces through architecture and design

As a step in the Faculty of Extension's continued growth and evolution, this summer we opened our newly developed classrooms at Enterprise Square. These new classrooms were built to offer a world-class teaching environment, strengthening the university’s ties with downtown arts and cultural communities, as well as local business.

On Friday, September 22, 2017, we will celebrate the grand opening of the Faculty of Extension's new home in Enterprise Square, in conjunction with UAlberta Alumni Weekend and the inaugural Edmonton Design Week.

Come visit Enterprise Square – the former historic Hudson's Bay Building – in the heart of downtown which bridges the University of Alberta with the greater community. Learn about a project that incorporated extensive pedagogical research to create an inclusive environment for all, paying tribute to the heritage characteristics defining this innovative space.

We welcome architecture and design enthusiasts, UAlberta students and alumni, Edmonton historians and city planners, and you and your friends.
