About this event

Looking for an entertaining, socially-distant evening out with friends?

Enjoy a three-hour, outdoor smoke session and History of Cannabis lesson, NOW WITH A DINNER OPTION at Heritage Park.

The pick-up and drop-off location is the public square in the 900 block of General Avenue N.E. in Calgary's Bridgeland neighbourhood.

The evening is guided by Dave Dormer, a journalist and researcher with more than 20 years experience delving into the world of cannabis.

With health measures lifting in Alberta on July 1, individual tickets are available. Tours run from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and we can accommodate up to 10 people.

The adventure begins with a visit to a dispensary, FivePoint Cannabis in Calgary's Bridgeland neighbourhood, then guests are transported to the Weedon School yard at Heritage Park where we'll explore the 12,000-year History of Cannabis, from its first uses as a textile by neolithic people to the recreational and underground markets we see today.

Consumption is allowed on this adult-only tour, and guests now have the option of a dinner entree from the Selkirk Grille menu, along with a juice, pop, coffee or tea, along with a dessert. Seating is provided.

You'll read some of the earliest books to mention Cannabis, learn about the advent of Hashish, see the hand-written court record and hear the story of one of the first Canadians convicted of possession and trafficking nearly a century ago, and much more.

Masks must be worn while riding in the CannaVan.

Visit www.cannanaskis.com for more information.

*Tickets includes transportation, education, dinner, beverage and dessert. Guests choosing to consume must bring their own cannabis. 18+ only.
