Event description

Description

HIV North is excited to welcome you to our 2nd annual Drags and Bags event! Come and enjoy a dynamic and entertaining evening with Drag Show Entertainment by Lilith Fair, Tiffany T. Valentine and Science Fair with Vinyl Music starring DJ CEAZ. Enjoy a bountiful catered charcuterie with wine, beer and spirits available for purchase. We are excited to bring back the ever popular handbag lottery along with some other fun auction items that will be sure to surprise and delight guests. Learn about how HIV North supports our community with Jennifer Baird and Jessica Hubley who will talk about a day in the life of a street outreach worker in the midst of an opioid crisis. We are also proud to announce special guest speaker Eunice Friesen who will speak to the importance to inclusive communities. It will be a unique evening that will leave guests educated, entertained and all in the name of supporting the Grande Prairie HIV North Society.

We have a special addition to our event this year.....a Dragathon! Yes, a Drag Race between 7 Grande Prairie gentlemen who are vying for your donations to win a drag queen makeover the night of the event. Bid on your favourite and the gentleman to raise the most money will get a drag queen makeover for the event! HIV North thanks them for their support!

Sponsorship packages are also available in 5 dynamic levels, which include a variety of promotion, event tickets, reserved table, wine and drink tickets. We are still looking for an Event Sponser which comes with our highest level of added benefits. Contact Tina Nelson for more details. 780-814-3559

Introducing our Drag Show Queens!

Lilith Fair:

Co-creator of the House of HOMO-CIDAL, Artistic Director of 50% Fruit Productions, the 2016 WINNER of Alberta's Drag Superstar, three time WINNER of Vue Weekly Magazine's "Best Local Comedian" as a part of their Best of Edmonton Awards, and the current reigning Miss Evolution - Lilith is one of the hardest working Queens in Alberta.

A four time "Stiletto Award" winner (Funniest - 2015, Performance of the Year - 2016, Funniest - 2017, Drag Event of the Year - 2017), Lilith has proven time and time again to push the boundaries of Drag in Alberta with her signature brand of filth and comedy!

An Albertan born and raised, she is elated to be coming back to Grand Prairie to perform for you at this event.

Science Fair:

Winner of Miss Naughty 2016, in the 3rd annual "Naughty and Nice" pageant. Evolution Wonderlounge is where this Queen can most often be found performing!

Nominated for THREE "Stilleto Awards ("Best Breakthrough Artist", "Best Choreography", "Performance of the Year"), Science was also featured in the Stiletto Award WINNING "Mask 4 Mask" ("Drag Event of the Year"), in which she starred alongside her amazing slay queen DRAGon mother, Lilith Fair!

Science looks forward to entertaining the masses, with her own personal flare!

Tiffany T. Valentine:

Although she has only been performing as a Queen for a year and a half, Tiffany T. Valentine is a dancer with 20 years of experience!

Nominated for the 2017 "Best Choreography" Stiletto Award, Tiffany is one of the hardest dancing Queens the city has to offer!

She is ready to get down, and hopes that you are too! Enjoy!
