Join us for a talk and signing with comics artist and author Ho Che Anderson to celebrate the release of his newest book, Godhead Vol. 2. Peter Birkemoe, owner of The Beguiling and co-founder of the Toronto Comic Arts Festival (TCAF) will interview Anderson about his art, writing, inspiration and career.
Godhead explores the conflict between science and religion in a near-future America. The invention of the "god machine" could be humanity's salvation or damnation. Volume 2 brings the story to a dramatic conclusion.
Born in London, England, Ho Che Anderson now lives in Toronto. His previous books include two horror graphic novels and a graphic biography of of the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Jr. In addition to his work in comics, Anderson has a passion for filmmaking. He has worked behind and in front of the camera as an actor, writer, cameraperson and director.
Following the interview, Ho Che Anderson will do a live Q&A and book signing. Books will be available for sale by The Beguiling at the event.
This free event will be held on the lower level of the Lillian H. Smith Branch in the Auditorium. Hosted by The Merril Collection of Science Fiction, Speculation & Fantasy.
Doors will open at 6:15pm and the event will start at 6:30pm. No registration is required. Everyone is welcome.
