Chef Paula Bambrick
Paula has over 30 years of professional cooking, teaching and food management experience. A Culinary Management honours graduate from George Brown College, Paula worked for 8 years, first as a baker and finisher, then on the management team at Dufflet Pastries. Product testing, recipe development, cooking technique demonstrations and product demonstrations for corporate clients are a part of her successful consulting business, Personal Chef.
Recently Paula received her Professional Fromager Certificate from George Brown College. She is sharing her knowledge and appreciation of cheese through cooking classes as well as guided local cheese tours, along with her partner, Martin Raymond, offered by their company Cheese Excursions.
One of the original teachers at Loblaws Cooking Schools, Paula continues to study, develop and teach hands-on and demo courses for LCBO, Loblaws, Fortinos and Cookery and. Her popular teaching style projects an enthusiastic ‘can do’ approach in the kitchen, and an obvious love of cooking and eating. Her recipes, clear and simple, reflect an encyclopedic knowledge of products, sources and technique. She celebrates good food, distinguishing it from current food trends and celebrity diets.“Good food, good for you” and a true joy of cooking sums up her philosophy.
