Looking for things for your children to do during the Holiday Break?

About this event

Enjoy the Holiday Break with our great day camp offerings! Sign your child up for one day, two days, or all of them - it's your choice!

Each day has a different theme, and our day camps will spend time in the Pollinators exhibit, the historic village, and outside.

Age range: Children from 8 to 11 years old.

Times: Drop off - 8:30 to 9 a.m. & Pick up - 4 to 4:30 p.m.

Cost: $50 per day per child

DAY CAMP THEMES:

Dec 21: Amazing Animals

How do bees support 2/3 of our food supply? What do songbirds eat in the winter? Learn the answers to these questions as we take a hands-on approach through our feature exhibit AMAZING POLLINATORS and hike through our village trails to discover the amazing, wild lives of animals!

Dec 22: Winter Wonderland

It may be chilly outside, but we will embrace winter with outdoor activities (perhaps involving some snow!) around our historic village. Warm up with some handcrafts, but bring your snow-boots for extra winter fun!

Dec 23: Historic Happenings

Explore our historic village as you explore the day-to-day lives of people long ago. We will craft unique creations such as weaving, calligraphy, or even old school paper cutting!

Dec 28: Awesome Art

Waterloo Region has been home to many famous artists- including you! Join us for a day of imaginative creation. Take inspiration from the galleries and the historic villages to create some cool masterpieces!

Dec 29: Full STEAM ahead!

Science! Tech! Engineering! Art! Math! We’ve got all the STEAM here at the museum! Explore and experiment with us in the galleries. We will learn about biodiversity in the AMAZING POLLINATORS and even electricity with telegraphy at the historic train!

Dec 30: Retro Day

Neato! Groovy! Cool! Learn all the retro lingo as we dive into the past! Learn dance moves, create classic crafts, and even become the bees knees exploring AMAZING POLLINATORS. This day will look at all things nostalgic fun!
