Holiday Kitchen Party
Event Information
About this Event
We have talented chefs that are going to show you how to prepare their favourite holiday dishes using Alberta grown ingredients. We’ll also have some mixologists that will be joining our party to wow us with their special Christmas cocktails.
Some of our expert chefs and cocktail mixers:
Steve Brochu @chef_brochew will use his culinary skills to prepare a chicken tourtiere. His talent is keeping it simple but beautifully made using local, high-quality ingredients. https://eatatmilkcrate.com/
Julie Van Rosendaal @dinnerwithjulie will show us how to make holiday cookies using local ingredients such as pulses, butter and canola oil. Julie’s enthusiasm for cooking and her love of local food shows in her cookbooks, cooking classes and food articles. https://www.dinnerwithjulie.com/
Doreen Prei @doreenprei is an award-winning chef that will be making a holiday brunch including split pea and lentil cake, pork schnitzel, poached egg and hollandaise sauce all with Alberta produced ingredients. Listen to Chef Doreen every Thursday at 4:40 on CBC Edmonton 93.6 FM.
Gabriel Uggenti @gabriel.uggenti is a Sous Chef at Jasper Park Lodge that will be showing us how to make a traditional holiday dinner with Alberta turkey. Since many holiday events, such as Christmas in November have been canceled this year, we thought this was a nice compromise while keeping safe at home.
Jason Patience, Bar Captain at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, will show us how to create three signature cocktails for some extra cheer during the holiday season. You can find the best cocktails that follow flavour trends @FairmontJPL and we are excited to show you how to create this enjoyable experience.
Everyone that is registered will receive a link to the holiday kitchen party and all the recipes that chefs and mixologists are using in the demonstrations. As an extra bonus, we have some cookbooks to give-away written by a selection of Canadian Chefs. We will be giving them away from now until the party and all participants registered will be entered to win.
All money received will be donated to the Edmonton and Calgary food banks. Registration is $15

Calgary - Devour Catering is offering a four-course Christmas dinner, featuring Alberta Turkey and all the trimmings. If you want to order for the party you must order on Dec 7th. https://devourcatering.com/product/christmas-dinner-2
