Holy Communion Service
Event Information
About this Event
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE REGISTERING.
Although Masses continue to be prohibited in Toronto due to COVID-19 restrictions, we have been given permission by Cardinal Thomas Collins to hold multiple Communion Services on weekends. There is a limit of 10 people permitted in the Church for each service - including the Priest and staff.
Masses will be continued to be livestreamed at 5:00 p.m on Saturdays(vigil Mass) and on Sundays at 9:00 a.m and 11:00 a.m. It would be wonderful if people could watch the Mass live-streamed and then join us to receive Our Lord in one of the services after. You must register for these services. There will be no waiting lists for these services.
***PLEASE NOTE: EACH PERSON ATTENDING (INCLUDING INFANTS AND CHILDREN) REQUIRES A TICKET FOR THE COMMUNION SERVICES. PLEASE LIST ALL NAMES OF ATTENDEES IN THE ORDER FORM
This Communion Service will be approximately 10 minutes long with the Liturgy of the Word and then Communion. All Social Distancing protocols must continue to be followed.
Please note that every reasonable precaution has been and will continue to be taken by the Archdiocese of Toronto to protect your health and safety. However, there can be no guarantees of complete protection as there will always be risks of contracting viral infection through large gatherings.
Please do not enter the church if you have a temperature, feel ill or have been in contact with a COVID-19 positive individual over the past two weeks.
Additional information:
- In accordance with the by-laws of the City of Toronto, as of July 7th, the use of masks will be mandatory for church attendance. This by-law excepts all those who are under the age of 2 and those who cannot wear a mask due to medical reasons. All others must wear a mask for the duration of their time in the Church.
- There will only be one entrance into the church. Please look for signs marking the proper entrance door.
- Sanitize your hands upon entry.
- Please maintain physical distancing at all times. Stay 2 metres (or 6 feet) away from others who are not in your household.
- Please follow the direction provided by ushers/volunteers.
- PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU ARRIVE AT LEAST 10 MINUTES BEFORE THE SERVICE AS THE DOORS WILL BE LOCKED AT THE START TIME OF THE SERVICE. This will also allow you some time for quiet prayer in the Church. Please be aware that people have had to be turned away previously due to our capacity restrictions, so if you are unable to attend the service for which you reserved tickets, please cancel your ticket on line, or call the parish office at 416-241-0133.
- Please remember that you are receiving Our Lord in the Eucharist so the same preparation still applies- please make sure you observe an hour fast (with exception for medication) before receiving our Lord
