Hope in the City Calgary
Thu, 17 November 2016, 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM MST
The Hope in the City Luncheon will take place on November 17, and will officially 'kick off' The Salvation Army's Annual Christmas Kettle Campaign.
The Salvation Army's Christmas Kettle Campaign raises funds for programs that provide support for thousands of Calgarians at Christmas and throughout the year.
We are thrilled to introduce Mr. Rex Murphy as our guest speaker for this year’s event.
Individual seats are $100 each or tables of 10 are available for $1,000.
Mr. Murphy is a trusted face and voice across Canadian media. His intellect and biting humor strike through the heart of profound political and social issues. Currently, he writes and reports for CBC’s The National and is a columnist in the National Post.
With the unstable economy, Calgarians are turning to The Salvation Army now more than ever. Emergency food hampers, infant essentials, clothing, and backpacks for kids are just some of the ways that The Salvation Army offers a hand up to our neighbours who are struggling to make ends meet. In addition to providing necessities and services, The Salvation Army endeavors to offer hope and help to all Calgarians.
