Horsing Around summer camps are geared towards children between the ages of 9-14 who don't have a lot of experience with horses. The emphasis is on fun, safety and active participation on-horse and off.
The all-day camp includes a riding lesson every day as well as: instruction on grooming, tacking, horsemanship, feeding, mucking out stalls, bathing horses, turn out, farrier demos, vet demos, nature walks, basic equine first aid, classroom and outdoor activities. Campers need to bring the following:
-a pair of long pants for riding (stretchy preferred)
- socks and closed-toed shoes for riding
- long hair tied back in a low pony tail or low braid
- change of clothes for off horse activities
- small snack and water bottle
