Learn about your rights as a tenant. Topics include starting and ending tenancy, rent increases, and applicable laws. Presented by the Canadian Centre for Housing Rights. This interactive session will discuss what your rights are if:

You sign a rental agreement, or if you need to break a rental agreement;

Your rent goes up;

You face discrimination where you live;

You have privacy concerns where you live;

Something in your home breaks, there are pests, you see mould; or

Your landlord threatens to evict you.

Come learn how you can get free help if you think your landlord is not respecting your rights as a tenant!

Priority will be given to valid RHPL card holders.

This program will take place at Oak Ridges Library.

Canadian Centre for Housing Rights (CCHR) is a non-profit organization in Canada that focuses on ending discrimination in housing and educating community members on human rights in housing.
