HOW ADDICTIONS AFFECT CHILDREN, SIGNS & SYMPTOMS AND LASTING EFFECTS

How can we as parents/caregivers support kids growing up in addiction and how they can maintain their own health with:

LORELIE ROZZANO is an internationally recognised author and advocate. She grew up in an alcoholic home and knows first-hand how childhood trauma impacts young adults. Lorelie is in long term recovery and works in the field of addiction helping patients and their families regain their health. Lorelie hopes the honesty found in her books, Jagged Little Edges, Jagged Little Lies, Jagged No More and her children’s book Gracie's Secret, will inspire people to reach out for help.

DR. CHRISTINA A. BASEDOW has a strong passion for working in the addictions field. She has been working with individuals, couples, and families struggling with substance misuse issues, mental health disorders, and co-dependency issues. Christina brings her personal experience, compassion, and wealth of knowledge in psychology, research and teachings to her clients and to her position as Deputy Clinical Director at Edgewood Treatment Centre. Christina is registered with the BC Association of Registered Clinical Counsellors and holds a PhD in Psychology. Christina is a Instructor at Vancouver Island University and is passionate about educating individuals through her courses in the Psychology Department.
