How IoT is Revolutionizing the Future of Business & Your Everyday Life

Imagine for a moment that you could connect any object in a home, business, office space, restaurant, store, or event venue to the Internet. Would you want to know how many seats are available at your favorite restaurant, right now, in real time? Would you be comforted to know that your elderly parent had opened their medicine cabinet to take their prescription today? Would you be interested in tracking the temperature consistency within your industrial-sized refrigerator?

Well, the Internet of Things (IoT) is making all of this possible.

Join James Daigle as he explores the past, present and future of IoT.

In this session, you will:

  • We will explore the history of the Internet of Things (IoT) and we will discuss exactly where the idea came from?

  • We will learn about some simple ways to start incorporating IoT into your home or office today and what are some of the immediate benefits to you?

  • What are the steps and processes you will need to think about if you are planning to create your own IoT solution/product?

  • What big ideas can be solved using IoT? We will discuss how IoT could be used by communities (both large and/or small) to help curb or solve some of the world’s most pressing issues.
