How to Make a 3D Portrait
Sat, 27 May 2017, 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM EDT
Presented by: Makerwiz
Instructor: Peter Lau
Overview: In this one-hour mini workshop, participants will learn how to use Occipital Sensor / iSense 3D Scanner to make 3D portraits of their fellow attendants. A 3D portrait is akin to a sculptural rendition of a person or an object. After creating their portraits of one another, participants will enhance the raw .obj file in MeshMixer and export it to .stl format suitable for 3D printing at a later time. Basic concepts of 3D scanning and 3D file editing will be discussed.
Requirements: Participants must bring their own laptop for the session.
