Description

Be You. It's Awesome talk series presents:

How to make deep connections and find your tribe

We live in an area that 2.5 million people call home, and one that offers so many ways to meet and connect with fellow Vancouverites. Yet many of us can find ourselves feeling disconnected and lonely at times.

Platforms like Meetup encourage us all to get out of our comfort zones and meet new people, but how often do you make genuine connections?

Superficial conversations leave us feeling empty and wondering “is this as good as it gets?”. Well, it isn’t...

You can learn how to create deep connections, how to create closer friendships and how to foster more meaningful relationships, all of which will have you feeling energised and fulfilled with a sense of belonging.

The secret? It all starts with you.

Join this highly interactive workshop led by Sam Middlewood, as he shares his experience as a community builder, social behaviour researcher and the founder of Be Inspired Vancouver, and walks you through the power of creating deep connections and how they can have a profound effect on your life.

FROM THIS INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP YOU WILL LEARN AND TAKE AWAY:
- How to discover and overcome your personal barriers that prevent you from expressing yourself in conversations with anyone
- How to go beyond superficial conversations.
- The 3 simple principals that lead to deeper connections.
- An understanding of how sharing your true self with others will attract the right tribe of people into your life, and will lead to a sense of belonging.

Plus, in the workshop you will personally experience the application of the concepts we discuss. This means there is the potential to make new and deep connections, and leave the evening’s event having formed a new meaningful relationship!

FAQs

What's the refund policy?

Tickets are non-refundable. Tickets can however be transferred to another person, or be transferred to a future Be Inspired Vancouver event. Please contact info@beinspiredvancouver.ca directly where this is required.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You do not need your printed ticket. We just need your name on arrival.

Why should I attend?

  1. Meet new people who share your passion for learning, and who are truly like-minded.
  2. Learn something new and leave inspired and with strategies to take action for yourself
  3. It is AMAZING value for money.

Can I come on my own?

Absolutely Yes!
The majority of talk attendees come as singles. Say yes to stepping out of your comfort zone for a few hours and the possibilities are endless. I (Sam – your host) have been a solo talk attendee in both London and Vancouver, so I understand the apprehension. These talks are designed to be fun, open and welcoming, and I’d love to meet you. When you arrive, just let me know and I’ll be happy to introduce you to someone who’s in the same boat.

Am I expected to speak?

The Be You. It’s Awesome talks are organised, so the speakers are ‘featured’ speakers. The talks are interactive meaning you can ask questions and give your thoughts (a huge plus for most attendees), but there is no pressure for an attendee to share their story unless they volunteer it. You will never be put on the spot – just share if you feel like it. And if not feel free to sit back and listen :), just don't forget your notbook and pen.
