Get the Edge on Entering Photo Contests

Have you ever been interested in entering a photo contest, but didn’t know where to start? Do you have a feeling that your photos might win some awards? There’s only one way to find out, and that’s to enter the contests! Some aspects of entering photo competitions are straightforward, and some of them can be confusing, especially if it’s your first time. With so many photo contests available, from camera club to professional contests, there’s never been a better time to try and get some recognition in the photographic community, and perhaps even win some cash or camera gear!

In this 3 hour workshop you will learn the ins and outs of how to enter photo contests, and become confident when you pay the entry fee and submit your photos. You’ll learn about things such as the reasons for entering photo contests, understanding contest rules and small print, how to stay organized and selecting your photos to submit, and some techniques of how to ensure that your photos are technically ready to submit. This workshop is packed full of useful and interesting information, and after participating, you’ll feel confident how to approach and enter many different levels of photo contests.

Learn to…

  • How to critically analyze your entries
  • The technical aspects of submitting entries
  • Properly sizing and cropping images
  • About copyright, usage rights, and contest small print
  • How to submit your photos for the Photo Contest
