Event description

Description

“Any questions about the financial statements?” Silence around the boardroom. A familiar scene? Not a good sign!

So how do you get better at it? Many non-profits set up an audit and finance committee to ensure better oversight of their financial, audit and risk management by a more focussed group.

This 1.5 hour seminar will take you through how to set up an audit and finance committee for your non-profit, draft terms of reference, take you through some case studies, and draft a risk management framework. We'll show you what to look for in financial statements, what talent to recruit, and discuss the relationship between the board and the new committee you will set up after this year's AGM (you will have an AGM won't you?)
