About this Event
November 25th: Anger
Anger can manifest in so many ways. Passive-aggressiveness, sarcasm, hostility, aggression - these are some of the faces of anger. Yet at the root, anger also has a function, a purpose - and if the energy is applied, it can be very constructive in creating positive change.
Let's talk about the faces of anger, and some strategies to channel it constructively, with our panelists Michele Meehan, Sumeet Saini, and Miranda Borisenko (bios below).
Panelists:
Miranda Borisenko - I am a Registered Social Worker with over 25 years of experience in community mental health, addiction recovery, healing from trauma and restoring loving relationships. As a Certified Yoga and Meditation Teacher (2008), I blend 'western' and 'eastern' approaches to supporting people through relationship challenges. I'm also a Certified Instructor with Mental Health First Aid Canada and have taught Mental Health First Aid courses since 2015 in which participants learn practical ways to support others in mental health crisis.
Sumeet Saini - I adopt a holistic and spiritual approach to address the needs of body, mind and soul, in my work with Gen Z men. It’s challenging to be a sensitive man in our modern world. I support people through these challenges, including improving communication skills for healthy relationships, solving problems creatively, and enhancing emotional intelligence and a sense of one's personal power.
Michele Meehan - As both a psychotherapist and shamanic practitioner, my work involves helping people grow into their authentic self in body, mind, heart and spirit; finding and following that inner blueprint of our life’s purpose that comes through our ancestry, our biographical experiences, the archetypal energies that speak through us, and our connections to helping spirits that guide and inspire our evolution.
