We are pleased to invite you to celebrations for International Human Rights Day on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission. As anniversaries are a time for reflection and renewal, the theme of this celebration is “Learning from Our Past, Building for Our Future.” It will feature distinguished speakers, cultural performances and the presentation of the 2017 Human Rights Awards.

Please join us on Friday, December 8, 2017 at Citadel High School, 1855 Trollope Street, Halifax, NS. There will be networking and light refreshments from 8:00 a.m. to 8:50 a.m. in the Portia White Atrium, followed by the celebrations from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Spatz Theatre. Guests are welcome.

Additional information: All entrances to the venue are accessible. Street parking is available and there are paid parking lots off of Bell Road.

There will be close captioning as well as sign language interpretation.
