Event description

Description

Victim Services would like to invite you to attend an open-minded experience from a survivor of Human Trafficking. The Hungary born speaker is here to share her story, educate us on the fast-up-and-coming crime and to teach us how we can advocate on behalf of our victims locally and provincially.

Ms.Timea Eva Nagy was born in Budapest, Hungary and is the daughter of a local police woman. Ms. Nagy's sex slave nightmare took place just over 18 years ago when she immigrated to Canada in the hopes of fulfilling a summer position as a housekeeper/nanny. Upon her arrival she was kidnapped, controlled, and kept under horrific conditions. Ms. Nagy was forced against her will to work in the sex trade in Toronto and surrounding areas for months up until she was able to escape.

Training and Education: Ms. Nagy has a true passion for providing training to law enforcement agencies, schools, organizations, and service providers. She has provided training and worked with many agencies in Canada, the United States and Europe including but not limited to RCMP, FBI, Major Drugs and Vice Units and Federal Judges in the United States. This training is aimed to assist Front Line Workers as well as Police Officers in making better connections with trafficking victims. Timea will allocate her story and provide participants with key information to assist in identifying victims, how to support victims, and the criminal code.

The first 100 registrants will receive her Human Trafficking Manual for FREE!

You don’t want to miss this training!!
