Event description

Description

This workshop is a follow-up to the two-day Community Mobilization Workshop held last February to educate the community about human trafficking. This one-day workshop will specifically target youth stakeholders to provide education and awareness on the trafficking of youth and how we can help protect the youth we serve through preventative measures.

We would like to invite teachers, youth workers, Family and Children’s Services, shelter and group home staff, youth counsellors, police, and all those who live and work with and care about the youth in our community.

This project has been made possible by a Civil Remedies grant from the Ministry of the Attorney General and is part of the ongoing efforts to prevent and respond collaboratively to human trafficking in Guelph and Wellington County.

Registration will open at 8:30am and the workshop will begin at 9:00am.

Coffee, tea, and a light breakfast will be provided during registration as well as a hot lunch in the afternoon.

Registration cost is $30.00.

However, if the cost is a barrier for you to attend the workshop please contact the organizer. We would like this event to be accessible to all.
