Free training program, resources and tools to assist service providers working with survivors of human trafficking

About this Event

The Family Enhancement Centre would like to welcome Constable Joy Brown, Chair of the Peel Human Trafficking Service Providers Committee to deliver a training presentation on human trafficking.

This is an exclusive event for counsellors at TFEC . A certificate will be granted upon successful completion. Constable Brown has been a member of the Peel Regional Police Service since 1987 and has led the training program for service providers for many years.

TRAINING ON HUMAN TRAFFICKING FOR PROFESSIONALS

You will learn:

  • What is Human Trafficking and Sex Trafficking?
  • Methods of Recruitment
  • Things to look for
  • Service Provider Response
  • Case Studies

This presentation will allow you to provide training to other service providers and professionals once you are certified. The course objective is to advance knowledge of the Region of Peel's 'Strategy to Address Human Trafficking' and increase awareness and build capacity within the region of Peel.
